Educational Advisor

We are looking for an Education Advisor to join our team at Global Education Basket,

As an Education Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding students through the study abroad process, ensuring they have a transformative and successful experience. You will provide comprehensive counseling services, assisting students in choosing suitable academic programs, navigating administrative procedures, and overcoming challenges they may encounter while studying abroad. Your expertise and support will empower students to achieve their educational and personal goals.

**Responsibilities**:
Conduct one-on-one consultations with students to understand their academic aspirations, personal interests, and study abroad preferences.

Provide detailed information and guidance on available study abroad programs, including academic requirements, locations, and cultural experiences.

Assist students in selecting appropriate courses and majors that align with their academic goals and meet university requirements.

Guide students through the process of finding suitable accommodation, addressing any concerns or questions related to housing contracts and options.

Advise students on university policies, registration procedures, and course selection to ensure a smooth transition into their study abroad program.

Support students in managing financial constraints by providing information on scholarships, grants, and part-time job opportunities.

Address academic challenges students may face, including language barriers, adapting to new teaching styles, and managing coursework alongside extracurricular activities.

Assist students in navigating cultural adjustments, providing resources and support to overcome homesickness, culture shock, and language barriers.

Foster a supportive and inclusive environment by connecting students with mentors, peer support networks, and local resources.

Organize and deliver pre-departure orientations, workshops, and informational sessions to prepare students for their study abroad journey.

Stay updated on current study abroad trends, university partnerships, and relevant policies to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students.

Collaborate with other team members to enhance counseling services, develop resources, and improve the overall student experience.

Maintain records of student interactions, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, International Relations, Counseling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

3 Years -at least
- proven experience in education counseling, student advising, or related roles.

In-depth knowledge of study abroad programs, universities, and academic systems.

Familiarity with visa procedures, immigration regulations, and international student support services.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple student cases simultaneously.

Empathetic and supportive nature, with the ability to understand and address students' unique challenges and concerns.

Ability to learn relevant software and platforms for communication, record-keeping, and research.

Fluency in Arabic & English.

Pay: QAR4,000.00 - QAR7,000.00 per month

- Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
