**Job Summary**:
The Material Controller - Piping is responsible for receiving, inspecting, tracking, and issuing piping materials (pipes, fittings, valves, gaskets, etc.) at site or warehouse. They ensure accurate documentation, proper storage, and timely delivery of materials to support project execution and minimize downtime.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Receive and inspect incoming piping materials against **purchase orders (POs)** and **Material Receiving Reports (MRRs)**.
- Verify material compliance with **mill test certificates (MTCs)** and project **specifications**.
- Track and control inventory of pipes, flanges, fittings, gaskets, valves, and other piping components.
- Maintain up-to-date **Material Tracking Logs** and **Inventory Registers**.
- Coordinate material issuance to construction or fabrication teams based on **Material Take-Offs (MTOs)**.
- Ensure **proper storage** and **identification (tagging/labeling)** of materials.
- Report material shortages, overages, and damages to procurement and engineering teams.
- Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) for **inspection release** and **material traceability**.
- Interface with planning and construction to align material availability with the work schedule.
- Assist in preparing **stock reconciliation reports** and **material status updates**.
- Monitor material movements using **ERP or materials management software** (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Smart Plant).

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or Bachelor's in Engineering, Logistics, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years’ experience in material control for piping projects (EPC, oil & gas, or construction industry).
- Knowledge of piping components and specifications (ASME, ASTM, API).
- Familiarity with material documentation: POs, MTCs, MRIRs, packing lists, etc.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and material control systems.

**Key Skills**:

- Material tracking and inventory management
- Documentation handling (MTCs, test reports, delivery notes)
- Basic understanding of piping specs and codes
- Communication and coordination
- Time management and attention to detail

**Bonus Skills (if applicable)**:

- Experience with SAP MM module or similar ERP systems
- Familiarity with barcode or RFID-based material tracking
- Knowledge of warehousing safety and material handling equipment
