**Key Responsibilities**:

- Inspect welded joints, materials, and components to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes (e.g., ASME, AWS, API, ISO), and industry standards.
- Review welding procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR) to ensure that the correct welding procedures are followed.
- Verify that welders are qualified according to relevant industry standards and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Conduct visual inspections of welded materials to detect surface imperfections such as cracks, porosity, undercuts, or weld discontinuities.
- Perform or oversee non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, such as ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), magnetic particle testing (MPT), and dye penetrant testing (DPT) to assess the internal quality of welds.
- Ensure that welding materials, consumables, and equipment meet quality standards and are properly stored and handled.
- Monitor welding operations to ensure that they comply with the specifications outlined in the project’s quality control plans and safety standards.
- Record and document inspection findings, preparing inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
- Work closely with welding teams and other departments to identify, address, and resolve any quality issues or non-conformance related to welding operations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of welding quality control procedures and inspection protocols.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant welding codes, standards, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all personnel involved in welding activities.
- Train and mentor junior welding inspectors and field personnel on welding inspection methods and standards.
- Participate in project quality audits and inspections to verify compliance with welding quality assurance processes.
- Assist in troubleshooting welding-related issues and provide technical support to ensure that welding processes meet the required standards.
