**The main responsibilities of this position include**:
1. Conduct cutting-edge research in human-centered robotics, including:

- Design, development, and evaluation of robotic systems and interactive experiences.
- Design, implement and evaluate systems and conduct research based on commercial robotic platforms/components (e.g. commercial humanoid robots).
- Implementation and optimization of 3D shape sensing techniques and actuation methods,

2. Deliver cutting-edge technical demonstrations of prototype robotic systems.

3. Lead multidisciplinary research teams, supervising BSc, MSc, and PhD students to conduct world-class research in interactive robotics.

4. Supervision of Bsc, Msc and PhD students to conduct research and publish outcomes in high-level academic conferences and journals.

5. Teach one graduate course per academic semester (in their field of expertise).

6. Publish scholarly outcomes in top international academic conferences/journals and engage in participation in top industrial events.

7. Promote partnerships and support collaboration with external organizations and industrial partners, locally and internationally.

8. Secure and manage research grants from national and international agencies.

9. Deliver technical workshops and seminars in their field of expertise to industrial and academic communities.

10. Oversee lab management activities, including resource allocation, procurement, and strategic planning.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education and Degree Requirements**

Ph.D. / Doctoral Degree and Master’s degree in a relevant research domain (computer science, computer engineering, robotics etc) from an internationally recognized university.
- ** Research Experience**
- ** Soft sensors and actuators**: such as Sensors, Robosoft, TAROS, Frontiers...etc
- ** Robotics**: such as ICRA, IROS, RAL, T-RO...etc
- Demonstrations, Symposiums or other outreach events
- ** Technical Skills**

1. Ph.D. and Master's degree in Robotics (medical robotics), Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.

2. Strong background in robotics research and development.

3. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

5. Understanding of Soft-robotics and soft sensing.

6. Knowledge in optical sensing (waveguides, FBGs
- .etc).

7. Linear and none-linear shape algorithms.

8. Superior experienced with programming in : Matlab, C++, Python, C#, R

10. (preferred) CAD: SolidWorks or Autocade/fusion360 or other CAD software.

11. Minimum 3D printing and fabrication skills (preferred).

12. Design miniaturization
