Due to the continued growth of The Royal Grammar School Guildford, Qatar (RGSGQ) we seek an experienced and dedicated **SENCo** to lead and develop our provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The RGS Guildford Qatar has developed a strong partnership with RGS Guildford in the UK a prestigious UK independent school with a tradition and rich history for providing outstanding education. We also have strong links with our international sister schools throughout the world.
The RGS Guildford, Qatar is an all-through British school offering a co-educational British curriculum for children aged 3 to 18. The School opened in September 2016, and now welcomes over 780 students to its campus which is just 20 minutes from the Pearl and the new Lusail city. Students follow the English Early Years Foundation Stage, the National Curriculum at Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and at Key Stage 4 a comprehensive range of IGCSE courses. At Post-16 the school offers a range of AS levels. The school has a reputation for high quality teaching and learning and has a range of excellent sports facilities which include an astro turf, sports hall and an open-air swimming pool.

We present an exciting opportunity to play an important role in the development and growth of our School and are looking for an outstanding SEN Assistant who is excited to join our team of educators at RGSGQ.

The SENCo will coordinate the identification, assessment, and support of students with SEND across all phases of the school. It will include developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), overseeing targeted interventions, and ensuring appropriate accommodations are in place. A key aspect of the role involves working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external specialists to foster an inclusive learning environment.

**Requirements**:
- A bachelor's degree in education or a BA degree with a PGCE qualification
- Preferably, prior experience in teaching the UK National Curriculum
- Previous experience working with non-native level English-speaking students
- A deep passion for teaching and a commitment to holistic education
- Strong professionalism and a focus on the well-being of children
- Active engagement in extracurricular activities
- A respectful approach to all members of the school community, irrespective of their position, gender, age, or ethnicity
