Vascular Surgeon

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessment of vascular patient histories, physical exams, diagnostics, and imaging in preparation for surgical care.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues—internists, cardiologists, radiologists—to optimize patient evaluation and coordinate care.
- Diagnose and treat arterial and venous conditions including peripheral arterial disease, deep vein thrombosis, aneurysms, trauma-related vascular injury, varicose veins, and vasculitis.
- Perform surgical procedures such as open repair, endovascular interventions (angioplasty, stenting), thrombolysis, sclerotherapy, and bypass grafts.
- Educate patients on diagnosis, surgical risks, alternative treatments, and rehabilitation plans.
- Monitor post-operative recovery, schedule follow-up care, prescribe medications, and manage complications.
- Actively pursue professional development—attend conferences, participate in educational activities, mentor junior team members, and stay updated on best practices.
