The Auto Electrician is responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical and electronic components of vehicles. This includes work on wiring, lighting, ignition, air conditioning, alarm systems, and other vehicle electronics to ensure optimal performance and safety.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair vehicle electrical wiring, components, and electronic systems, including lighting, ignition, air conditioning, batteries, and alarm systems125.
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals125.
- Gather information from customers about issues with their vehicle’s electrical system and provide estimates for repair time and costs12.
- Repair or replace faulty wiring, fuses, switches, relays, alternators, starters, and other electrical parts123.
- Install and troubleshoot immobilizer, alarm, and anti-theft systems12.
- Service and repair electrical systems on various vehicles, including cars, trucks, buses, and agricultural equipment126.
- Test and ensure proper functioning of vehicle lighting, instrument panels, and other electronic systems25.
- Maintain accurate job reports, service records, and process paperwork as required12.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to workshop safety protocols16.
- Stay updated with advancements in automotive electrical systems and attend manufacturer product training as needed46.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in auto electrical systems preferred12.
- Proven experience as an auto electrician or in a similar automotive electrical role125.
- Advanced knowledge of modern vehicular electrical and electronic systems126.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals23.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment125.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail125.

- Physical ability to work in confined spaces and various positions for extended periods1.
