**About the role**

You will execute end-to-end documentary production for the airline, from planning to shooting to post-production and delivery. Plays a major role across the entire QR Group, shooting and producing five-star documentaries of activities, events and key interviews involving Customer Experience. Under general direction, plan and facilitate studio and field-based video and photo production, including the planning, filming, editing, sound mixing, graphic design and output of a wide range of video and pictures as requested, and perform other related duties as assigned.

**Operational**:

- Cater to the specific needs of department clients, both internal and external, to fulfil the needs of their photo shoot, and remain flexible in adhering to their requirements in the pre-, field
- and post-production phases as requirements may change with time.
- Be sensitive to the audience characteristics of each video, understanding the one size does not fit all, while maintaining a five-star approach to visual communication.
- Adhere to strict project management standards and deliverable dates.
- Work in collaboration with other departments and production staff both internally and externally to produce a variety of video and photo imagery that is suitable for broadcasting, webcasting, and video streaming.
- Plan, direct and assign studio productions and oversee operation of photo and video shoots.
- Operate digital video effects and editing software.
- Brief suppliers on the set up for studio shoots
- Work with clients to prepare B-roll” footage for inclusion in live productions.
- Make recommendations to department for software and equipment purchases.
- In cooperation with other departments and production staff, both internally and externally, coordinate the pre-production and production planning activities.
- Conduct field-based video production which involves interacting with clients and directing the operation of all portable video, photo and audio equipment?
- Oversee the transport and setup of photo-shoot equipment as required.
- Plan and perform video post-production tasks which include reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, tape logging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing using Final Cut Pro software.
- Utilize computer graphics and special effects for video post-production in accordance with the overall production concepts.
- Compress video projects for output, capture recorded video using software and encode media as appropriate.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

- High School with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience

**Preferred**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience.

**Essential**:

- Progressively responsible experience in a professional video editing/producing environment demonstrating competence in all areas of video production.
- Professional video production procedures, practices, techniques and terminology.
- Studio production with multi-camera shooting
- Cinematography
- Principles of analog and digital capture.
- Professional television production equipment operation including video cameras and recorders, audio recording equipment, file compression, video switching, character generation, graphics manipulation, lighting, and post-production equipment.
- Advanced computer operations.
- Proper handling and troubleshooting of broadcast quality video production and post production equipment safety practices related video production.
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
