Nursing Service in Qatar Airways is a dynamic and dedicated Job, with a wide range of services across the company. The nurse is supposed to manage the Aeromedical section, Primary Health Care, Vaccination Center, MEDA (passenger clearance for fitness to fly), and certification of First-aid Kits.

Where nurses to contribute improving health care for Qatar Airways Group by providing high-quality care, promoting a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing, providing education and training, treating illnesses, providing emergency care, and supporting the Airline operations.

In Addition to emergency / first aid management & routine nursing procedures, below are the main task for nurses in the QR Medical facility.-
- Vaccination Center.-
**Inflight First Aid Kits (FAK)**:Responsible to perform a quality check and recertification of FAK before being loaded on any QR aircraft. This is to ensure the content of the kit meets the requirements established by QR Medical Division in line with the National and International regulations.**Campaigns**:Nurses to run campaigns such as health promotion campaigns, Vaccination campaigns, blood donation campaigns.**Drug Testing**:Nurses are responsible to conduct Drug Testing for staff (either for routine Pre-employment requirements and randomly selected flight crews or selected individuals)**Medical Clearance for Passenger traveling with serious Medical Condition or Special Needs**:
- Nurses are assigned to do clearance of passengers who has a medical condition for flight, this is 24 hours responsibility to track and provide fitness for flying QR network with serious illness or special needs.-
- Direct observation Therapy (DOT) for staff with TB disease In collaboration with Government facilities, medical escort of staff or patient to their destination, referral of patients and follow -up with concerned department, clinical waste management, Autoclaving of surgical items, being part of the deployed response team, stock and statistics are part of Nurses job as well.-
- Additional Responsibilities since the Covid19 Pandemic: Nurses have to work 24/7 since the Covid19 pandemic started and continues.-
- Covid19 Vaccination-
- Covid19 Testing Campaign on Staff and passengersThe Nurses' missions within QRMC are likely to change and/or expand as the pandemic will continue to force the Medical Division to adjust to new National and International requirements. Some of the key projects we may be part of in the near future.

Qualifications

**About you**

To be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with 4 years of job-related experience or Diploma in nursing and Midwifery with 6 years of experience.- Registration with a recognized professional regulatory authority in the home country where qualification has been obtained and license should be on active status.- Must be eligible to obtain a Nursing license from the Qatar Council of Health Care Practitioners or be in possession of the active license in Qatar.- Must be eligible for Certification in Intermediate Life Support Program/holder of CPR certificate from Qatar approved organization.- Proficiency in both spoken and written English; ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.- The Arabic language is an added advantage
