The personnel (Inspector for Patrolling & Inspection (Substation Maintenance, OHL Maintenance and Cable maintenance)) shall meet the following minimum requirement:
**Education and experience**
- Diploma / Graduate in Electrical Engineering (full time course) with at least 5yrs. Relevant Experience with an Electrical distribution system.
- Must have experience in installation, operation, and Maintenance of MV and LV switchgears, Cables, transformers, feeder pillars, OHL. Testing & commissioning of MV / LV Equipment & cables and OHL
- Must have handled projects for Execution of MV and LV cable lying and should have in depth Knowledge of Execution of such Projects, Experience in Planning, and scheduling of Substation Maintenance and OHL Maintenance.
- Must be Familiar with Quality Management System / ISO Standards.
- Should have a valid Qatar driving license with own 4-wheel drive Car/pickup, OR the contractor/ consultant to arrange for the conveyance with car and driver for all the site works.

Main Duties of Inspector for Patrolling & Inspection (Substation Maintenance, OHL Maintenance and Cable maintenance)._**

Inspector deputed on a daily basis by the contractor in the KAHRAMAA’s Electricity Distribution Department shall carry out all assigned works related to Maintenance. The duties to be performed by the Inspector shall include but not limited to the following:
a. Become familiar with the Electricity Distribution Network and equipment.

a. Become familiar with KAHRAMAA specification for installation and Maintenance of cables,

overhead lines, transformers, switchgears and other electrical equipment.

b. Become familiar with the testing procedures and testing instruments used for maintenance of

the equipment.

c. Become familiar with SIS system of KAHRAMAA Electricity distribution dept.

in the method of statement submitted by the client.

e. Guide the contractors staff at site to ensure that cables, overhead lines and other KAHRAMAA assets are protected and safeguarded during the course of work.

f. Ensure that approved SIS and latest As-built drawing are available at site with the client during site visit.

g. Carry out patrolling in the field to look for any excavation work by outside agency along the cable routes. Meet responsible authority to confirm RO permit and SIS has been obtained.

h. Carry out patrolling in the field to look for any work along the overhead line by outside agency

i. Submit daily report on site visit with photographs revealing the safeguarding measures adopted by the Contractors.

j. Issue Violation letters to defaulting parties, where non conformity is observed, as per the directive of KAHRAMAA competent authority.

k. Inspect site prior to shut-down and ensure all work is completed by KAHRAMAA Contractors as required before shutdown.

l. Inspect the trench at site and ensure that trench work, cable laying, backing filling, reinstatement have been done as per KAHRAMAA specification and requirement. Check and confirm the contractor bills and invoices as required in the ERP.

m. Understand each of the scheme and the BOQ prepared by Maintenance planning for Maintenance/ replacement of electrical equipment in the Electricity Dist. Substation.

n. Be familiar with the operational memorandum of all equipment installed in the Electricity Dist. Substation. Inspect and confirm the new substation installations are as per the Kahramaa standards and maintain documents/ update in ERP as required for taking over of new substation installations to EDM section as per KM procedure.

o. Supervise the Maintenance work at site to ensure work is been executed as per KAHRAMAA standard and procedures.

p. Verify the mechanical and electrical operation of all equipment at site used for substations maintenance in order to ensure operative condition of the equipment.

q. Supervise the installation of cables, joints and terminations and ensure work is been done as per the installation manual and KAHRAMAA guidelines and procedures.

r. Supervise the installation of overhead line conductors, poles, ABS, Auto re-closers, PMTs during the course of Maintenance work and ensure work is been done as per KAHRAMAA guidelines, specifications and procedures.

s. Ensure that all activities been carried out during Maintenance work are in line with KAHRAMAA health and safety regulations

t. Fill up the check list as per the standard form prepared by KAHRAMAA.

u. Record all information of Assets and test results in the format desired by KAHRAMAA.

v. Maintain record of the accessories, spares and items used during Replacement/Maintenance work.

w. Ensure adequate deployment of staff required for Maintenance work.
