This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in the kitchen and all food service areas. The role ensures that all equipment and utensils are clean, properly stored, and in good working condition to facilitate smooth kitchen operations. The steward also assists in food preparation and other kitchen duties as needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all kitchen areas, including sinks, countertops, and floors, are clean and hygienic at all times.
- Wash, sanitize, and store all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of all work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas according to food safety standards.
- Properly dispose of waste and recycling materials.
- Empty trash bins regularly and replace liners as needed.
- Handle kitchen equipment, dishwashers, and cleaning supplies safely and in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Ensure the proper handling and storage of all kitchen tools and utensils.
- Assist with the receipt and storage of food deliveries, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and inform management when reordering is necessary.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Participate in safety and hygiene training as required.
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed.
- Support the kitchen team by ensuring timely cleaning and restocking of dishes and utensils during busy service periods.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the supervisor or management to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

**Experience**: Previous experience as a steward or in a similar role is a plus but not mandatory.
