Elevator and Escalator Maintenance Technician

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Elevator and Escalator Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of elevators and escalators. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vertical transportation systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings across Qatar.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on elevators, escalators, and moving walkways.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and electronic malfunctions.
- Conduct daily inspections to ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and compliant with local regulations and manufacturer specifications.
- Monitor and maintain spare parts inventory and usage logs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ensure adherence to Qatar Civil Defense (QCD) safety standards and building codes.
- Provide prompt responses to emergency breakdowns and ensure mínimal downtime.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and third-party inspectors.
- Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
- Guide and train junior technicians or apprentices if required.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics or related field.
- Certification from elevator manufacturers (e.g., Otis, Schindler, KONE, Mitsubishi) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of control systems, safety circuits, and elevator mechanics.
- Familiar with international standards (EN 81, ISO) and Qatar-specific codes.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Valid Qatar driving license is preferred.

- Currently residing in Qatar with transferable visa and NOC.
- Experience working with multinational elevator brands.
- Willingness to work on a rotational shift, including weekends and public holidays when needed.

Pay: QAR1,800.00 - QAR2,500.00 per month
