**Department**
LEGAL

**Primary purpose of job**
To provide legal support for QatarEnergy's Projects, covering support to Projects & Engineering (VP), Surface Development

(VS) and Ventures (VC) on construction projects as well as other business activities including drafting & negotiation of all

relevant project agreements, developing new templates, managing and improving ways of working, building competence

and managing claims.

**Experience & Skills**
2. Civil law background is preferred but it is not mandatory; additional common law background/experience is advantageous

in particular drafting of contracts

3. Excellent legal drafting and writing skills in English;

4. At least 12 years of legal and contracts experience including most of the practice areas listed in the principal

accountabilities above;
5. Must have experience with the construction in upstream and downstream oil and gas industry including sufficient

understanding Joint Venture agreements and project financing requirements;
6. Experience in the engineering and construction industries is advantageous as is experience with solar, wind and

renewables;
7. Experience with leases would be a plus

8. Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office suite of tools.

**Education**
1. Juris Doctorate, Bachelors of Law or equivalent from recognized University, preferably post graduations studies or

master degree of law;
