Design and Strategy Lead

**Overview**:
As the **Design and Strategy Lead**, you will be responsible for leading the creative direction and strategic vision of the brand's design initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that design concepts align with the brand’s identity, target market, and overall business goals. You will guide the design process from concept to execution while providing insights into market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor analysis to shape the brand’s future direction.
**Key Responsibilities:Creative Leadership**:
- Lead and inspire a team of designers to produce innovative and on-brand collections that align with the brand’s vision and values.
- Oversee the entire design process, from conceptualization to final product delivery.
- Develop and communicate the overall design vision for seasonal collections, ensuring the designs reflect current trends while maintaining brand integrity.
- Collaborate with design, product development, and marketing teams to bring cohesive creative concepts to life.
**Strategic Oversight**:
- Work closely with senior leadership to align the design strategy with broader business objectives and market positioning.
- Analyze industry trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to inform the brand’s design and product strategy.
- Develop and execute a clear design roadmap for seasonal collections, aligning timelines, resources, and deliverables with business goals.
- Monitor and track the performance of design concepts, using data and feedback to refine and improve strategies.
**Team Collaboration and Development**:
- Lead and mentor the design team, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven environment.
- Provide feedback and guidance on design concepts and execution to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Work cross-functionally with other teams (e.g., merchandising, marketing, sales) to ensure a unified approach to product launches and brand campaigns.
**Brand Representation**:
- Ensure that all design outputs are consistent with the brand’s identity and positioning.
- Serve as a representative of the brand’s design philosophy, both internally and externally (e.g., during media interviews, presentations, or collaborations).
**Project Management**:
- Manage design budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Prioritize design projects based on business needs and market demands.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure that design concepts are feasible and align with manufacturing capabilities.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field.
- **Skills**:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Expertise in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, 3D design tools).
- Excellent understanding of fashion trends, color theory, têxtiles, and garment construction.
- Ability to translate market data and consumer insights into actionable design strategies.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating creative and strategic ideas clearly to internal teams and external partners.
- **Desirable**:
- Experience working in a global fashion brand or in a similar role within the fashion industry.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in fashion design.
- A portfolio showcasing previous work in fashion design and strategic thinking.
