**Senior Pipeline Engineer**

Job Accountabilities:

- Fully understands the COMPANY HSE policy, procedures, regulations, and objectives as they relate to the area of responsibility.
- Experience in preparation of Pipeline Design documents (design basis, mechanical design report, stress analysis, LLI’s material specifications & requisitions, MTO, detailed engineering drawings etc.) independently and complete the design activities within specified schedule & budget.
- Pipeline conceptual and detailed routing selection as per RLIC guidelines followed by detailed routing survey/underground scanning, trial pits and further work to prepare RLIC package submissions, review and required approvals.
- Pipeline design and sizing to meet the performance criteria as per the contract specifications. Also having knowledge of cost estimation for pipelines and facilities.
- Providing pipeline construction support from engineering through to construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up.
- Supervise the work of relevant discipline Engineers and Superintendents and ensure that quality and standards are maintained, and cost-effective solutions are adopted.
- Active participation in P&ID review, HAZOP, HAZID, SIL/IPF, QRA, reliability studies,

and Safety and Facilities Technical reviews & audits.
- Assisting the project engineers in the co-ordination and preparation of input into the contract documents for discipline area, including design criteria, scope of work, procedures and design approach.
- To have pro-active, should be able to guide Engineers & Designers on technical and non-technical issues towards effective solutions.
- Capable of executing multiple tasks and delivering it efficiently within specified

schedule. Self-motivated, shall work independently and/or with engineers &
designers for the project with effective communication with Project Managers/PEMs and Discipline Manager.
- Establish the actual capacities/capabilities of existing field facilities and pipelines

to identify potential bottlenecks and scope for optimization.
- Know the environmental aspects (ISO14001) of oil and gas project design.
- Prepare RFQ (request for quotation) technical packages for pipelines-related scopes.
- Direct and supervise relevant discipline engineers and designers.
- Be familiar with working with construction engineers and installation schemes.

**Minimum Qualifications and experience required**:

- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the offshore/onshore Oil and Gas / Petrochemical and Marine industry.
- Must have at least five years of experience in a similar position for international major Oil and Gas / Petrochemical / Marine projects including a minimum of three years in EPC organization.
- Experienced in using ASME, API, ISO, DNV, and Shell DEP codes and standards in pipeline design and construction.
- Experienced in the use of pipeline software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Mathcad, CAESAR II, ESRI/GIS) is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required.
- Experience of working in a variety of projects and phases, including greenfield and brownfield, on and offshore, Pre-FEED through to EPC.
- Ideally has experience with Qatar O&G customer design standards including Shell

DEPs.
- Experience with management of vendors, able to complete Technical Bid Evaluations and oversee development of vendor scope.
- Construction and site experience is desirable.
