**Who we're looking for**:
The primary role of the Multimedia Designer is to capture high-quality visual content, whether through photography or videography. This involves tasks such as filming, post-production editing, retouching, and the addition of visual effects or graphics to deliver a polished and compelling final product that meets HBKU standards and HBKU Brand Guidelines.

The Multimedia Designer will be reporting to the Creative Strategy Director, and will be working closely with various units within the HBKU Communications Directorate on various projects that require photography/videography, conducting and leading photoshoots when required.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Work closely with project focal points to produce high-quality photography and videography outputs based on the project's objectives and needs.
- Operate various photography and videography equipment and tools such as single lens reflex cameras and film or digital cameras.
- Keep equipment up-to-date, organized and maintained
- Solid knowledge in lighting, angle and compositional skills
- Setup lighting and audio equipment
- Use different techniques to enhance the photographs as required
- Use photo editing software such as Adobe Suite and other relevant software
- Develop promotional videos
- Document HBKU events
- Prepare background film, B rolls as well as live feed when required
- Interviewing people and creating a film clip via editing raw footage
- Recommend creative ideas to exceed expectations of goals and objectives
- Use artistic knowledge to enhance and compose photographs and videos
- Understanding of post-production video editing techniques
- Archives images and organize files
- Adherence to the HBKU brand guideline photographic style
- Maintain high standards for creative output

**What you'll need**:

- BA Degree in Photography Art and Film Studies, Television or equivalent business experience.
- 4 years of experience in photography art and film studies or other related field
- Be able to take professional photos and videos of indoor and outdoor locations, as well as people.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detailed knowledge of photography, equipment setup and lighting
- Strong creative presence and artistic flair
- Able to stand and move around for long periods at a time
- Drives towards continuous improvement and creative solutions
- Oversee brand standards, lighting techniques, and image quality
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms
- Ability to size images and color settings for the web and social media
- Technical acumen to be able to operate, configure, set up, and fix video, audio, lighting, or other production equipment.
