QatarEnergy is a state-owned public corporation established by Emiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. It is responsible for all phases

LEGAL
Primary purpose of job
Provide legal support for QatarEnergy’s trading & marketing activities (“Trading & Marketing Activities”) covering traded
products (e.g. physical LNG and commodity derivatives) and marketed products (e.g. crude & other petroleum products,
petrochemicals, chemicals & fertilizers).
Experience & Skills
- At least ten years of legal experience (not necessarily post-qualification) in private practice or in-house, a substantial
amount of which is in relation to Trading & Marketing Activities;
- Experience of dealing with regulators and government representatives;
- Ability to assimilate complex legal matters and to provide practical advice to non-lawyers;
- Effective communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player with members of the Legal Department, as well as
other stakeholders;
- Highly motivated, proactive, organized, and self-disciplined.
Education
- JD/LLB (or equivalent) degree at a recognized university.
