- To check goods to see they are received, issued, documented, stored & reorder as per company guidelines.
- Verify and track received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs.
- Work with suppliers to resolve discrepancies between invoices and actual received merchandise.
- Conduct inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs. Monitor reorder levels for all store items & ensure to initiate repurchase on a timely basis.
- Slow moving items are not reordered unless approved by the Cost Controller.
- Inspect deliveries and date times to verify freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality always.
- To ensure all the items are received in a proper pack with labels except vegetables and fruits. Make sure to avoid acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items..
- Inspects all stocks regularly to determine probability of spoilage and segregates these for priority issuance.
- Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas.
- To acknowledge all the invoices for inventory items and track them through the stock register.
- Any item returned to the supplier, outgoing record is to be made, ensuring that supplier’s credit note is obtained.
- File is maintained for store purchase orders, standard supply contacts, keep record of all the products concerning the quantity, type and price and to oversee shipping and receiving processes.
- Ensures that all items stored in the freezers are properly packed and labeled with corresponding tags.
- While ordering supplies used by a particular department, the department head is consulted regarding changes required on the specification, in general, the storekeeper keeps close contact with the end user department, to be well familiar with requirements, to be incorporated in the future orders.
- Ensure that all merchandise leaving the storeroom is supported by properly authorized requisitions. Items are issued only after verifying signing authority. Also ensure that any corrections are counter signed by the person who authorized it. The storekeeper signs the requisitions upon issue, and ensures that issued out items are cleared from the store area.
- Keeps regular follow up with the purchasing regarding the delivery schedule.
- Maintain professionalism at all times when working with other team members.
- Ensure that the appropriate standards of conduct, hygiene, uniform and appearance are maintained at all times.
- To participate in any Training & Development sessions as recommended by supervisors.
