Manager Regulatory Affairs Foreign Operations

**About the role**
Effective liaise with Foreign Civil Aviation Authorities for matters related to flight operations. Supports the safety and quality of Qatar Airways international operations, by providing guidance and interpretation of the means to comply with the regulations and requirements related to commercial operations in foreign countries, ensuring the appropriate management of the existing Qatar Airways Foreign Air Operator Certificate (FAOC), Foreign Operator Certificate (FOC), or Foreign Operator Permit (FOP). Supports the Aeropolitical department in the process of obtaining an initial FAOC, FOC, or FOP for Qatar Airways new stations, and landing permits. Support to the Head of Regulatory Affairs in managing the department. Some responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain the Regulatory Affairs Foreign Operating Authorizations - Renewal and Amendment Procedure.
- Build relationship with Foreign Civil Aviation Authorities, and internal stakeholders in order to ensure adequate level of communication enabling a proper project management.
- Review, assess and propose improvements to the department internal policies and procedures.
- To keep abreast of new International changes in Civil Aviation Regulations, focusing on foreign air carrier operations to ensure the department is managed efficiently (e.g. EASA TCO, UK TCO, FAA 14 CFR Part 149, etc.). Ensuring effective regulatory liaison with international regulatory authorities.
- Monitor the process implementations ensuring FAOC, FOC, or FOP amendment or renewal process is managed in accordance with the FOP/FAOC Renewal and Amendment Procedure.
- To ensure that the FAOC, FOC, or FOP certificates are maintained and updated, and the applicable databases (TOPS system, and drive S) are accurate, to avoid disruption to the operations.
- To ensure the tasks raised in the JIRA system related to FAOC, FOC, or FOP amendment or renewal process are properly managed.
Qualifications
**About You**
Qualifications and Experience: Without a Degree:
- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 9 years of job-related experience
- OR with a Degree: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 8 years of job-related experience
- OR Qatari Nationals: Not applicable
Essential
- Work experience in airline Management positions either within Qatar Airways or comparable airline.
- Comprehensive knowledge of QCAA/EASA and International Regulations.
