Doha, Qatar SHEET METAL FACTORY Full time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks.
- Work closely with production teams to oversee the manufacturing process, ensuring designs are translated accurately from concept to finished product.
- Perform design calculations and generate technical documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and part lists.
- Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and project teams to understand project requirements, constraints, and objectives.
- Conduct design reviews, provide technical input, and implement changes to enhance design quality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation of designs, making necessary adjustments based on results and feedback.
- Optimize designs for various manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, laser cutting, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project specifications in all designs.
- Maintain accurate records of design files, revisions, and project documentation within PDM systems.
- Provide training and support to production staff on interpreting design drawings and understanding design intent.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design and production, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical design, including advanced modeling, sheet metal, weldments, and assemblies.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working hands-on in a production environment, collaborating closely with fabrication and assembly teams.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards and best practices.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot design and production issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on collaboration across departments.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other simulation tools.
- Familiarity with ISO, EN, or other relevant standards for mechanical design and manufacturing.
- Experience in designing for various manufacturing processes, such as CNC machining, laser cutting, bending, and welding.

Pay: QAR2,500.00 - QAR5,000.00 per month
