**About the role**

Responsible to assist with storage, preparation and cooking of all food items for F&B Operations and to ensure all food preparation is as per standard and within HACCP guidelines. Also responsible to demonstrate and help maintain high levels of service that consistently exceeds the expectations of the operational team in Back of House.

In this position, the responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food; wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables; weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
- Monitor food quality while preparing food.
- Set-up and break down work station.
- Prepare food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
- Assist and monitor food stocks and stock movement to ensure food wastage is controlled.
- Follow the cleaning schedules for the kitchen and clean the section and other areas as directed.
- Accept and store deliveries.
- Ensure all mis-en place is completed in the kitchen production to cover all operational requirements.
- Follow conditions of the food hygiene policies.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

- High School graduation
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience in Commercial F&B Operation or 5 star hotel
- Experience in Hygiene & Health Safety
- Good spoken and written English
- Attention to details
- Hygienically aware
- Ability to schedule and prioritize tasks
