Security Compliance Manager

**About the role**:
As a Security Compliance Manager responsible to provide security support across Qatar Airways (QR)Network and QR Subsidiaries and is the first point of contact for all day to day security related occurrences, monitor for potential threats or risks; coordinate all day-to-day security operational aspects in relation to the scheduled operations at Network. Also, provide security guidance and support to Hub security operations at HIA, Senior Manager IOC, ASMs and QR Subsidiaries Management at HIA to ensure a safe and secure operations, conduct investigations on all security operational matters related to Network and assist Hub security operations and QR Subsidiaries with investigations. Maintain and update the respective Security Operating Procedures to ensure compliance to Company policies, local and international security regulations.

**Accountabilities**:
**Operational**
- Manage and oversee all security aspects of operations of QR passenger and freighter flights to ensure schedule integrity for the airline. Escalate security incidents as appropriate to the Security Management team.
- Provide a 24/7 link for operational support, advice and guidance to network on airline security matters and when required at Hub. Representative of Group Security at the IOC in all security related issues and offer advice security guidance and support where applicable.
- Constantly assess threat and risk, and provide security guidance and support network stations on Enhanced Security Measures (ESM). Follow up on the Implementation of ESMs and appropriate counter security measures. Ensures that security advisories received from Threat and Risk team are properly disseminated to concerned parties on a need to know basis. Ensure that the concerned stations / offices / departments have taken appropriate corrective actions to mitigate any security related incident that has occurred.
- Supervise and monitor BAT - Breathalyzer Test, ROS - Right of Search (BAT and RoS) conducted on crew at QRIOC. In addition, oversee and assist QRMC during the drug test conducted on crew at QRIOC. Work closely with IOC Senior Manager and QR Subsidiaries management, monitor staff security issues and liaise Drugs and Alcohol tests at base, QR Subsidiaries and network stations.
- Respond to any audit findings and non-conformities from a security perspective to ensure compliance with local and national security requirements. Support QR Subsidiaries audits and inspections from a security perspective as required which may include assessment of proposed new facility or expansions. Preparing the necessary corrective action plans resulting from internal and external Audit, Inspection, Surveys, Exercises, Investigation and/or Security tests.
- Conduct, when necessary, network investigations into various security occurrences regarding compliance or unusual incidents. Prepare investigation reports making sound recommendations to local Senior Security Management. Facilitate and coordinate police investigations regarding any incidents involving QROC and QR Subsidiaries staff or incidents.
- Handle on a daily basis the security related occurrences / reports - liaise with the concerned stations / departments in order to gather all the necessary information to prepare the “Security response” to security incidents at outstations. Handle view and action QACC and Hub AQD security reports. Receive, review and action all Security reports form IOC stakeholders, QR network stations and QR Subsidiaries. Performing the analysis of all the received reports, with the intent of compiling statistics and assessing the need to review the security procedures.
- When requested, support QR Subsidiaries to define security objectives, in line with Qatar Airways Group Safety and Security policy.
- When requested, support QR Subsidiaries with budgeting to determine sufficient resources to meet security commitments and objectives.
- Ensuring that the security equipment used for screening staff, stores and supplies are maintained and calibrated to the security levels established by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, and guarantee the correct recalibration of the security levels, when situations of increased threat occur, after specific instruction of the Appropriate Authority. Ensuring that security equipment is included in preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and the proper maintenance is carried out by professionally qualified technicians to ensure that all equipment are operating at the appropriate level of effectiveness.
