Assistant Waiter - Food Runner

**Starting salary**: QAR 1,600 PLUS free shared accommodation and transportation

**Position Overview**:We are looking for a proactive and attentive Assistant Waiter to support our waitstaff and ensure a smooth dining experience for our guests. As an Assistant Waiter, you will work closely with the waitstaff and kitchen team to assist in various tasks, maintaining a high level of service and efficiency in our restaurant.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Table Preparation:

- Assist in setting up tables with clean linens, polished glassware, and proper utensils before guests' arrival.
- Ensure all necessary condiments, breadbaskets, and other table items are ready and available for service.

Beverage Service:

- Assist in serving water, bread, and other non-alcoholic beverages to guests upon seating.
- Help the waitstaff in refilling water glasses and delivering beverage orders to tables.

Order Support:

- Assist in taking food and beverage orders from guests and relay them accurately to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Work closely with the waitstaff to coordinate the delivery of courses and beverages to tables.

Food Delivery and Table Clearance:

- Assist in delivering food orders to tables, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to timing.
- Clear empty plates, glassware, and other dining items from tables during and after the meal.

Guest Assistance:

- Respond promptly to guest requests, such as additional condiments, napkins, or special dietary requirements.
- Be attentive to guests' needs throughout their dining experience, offering assistance as required.

Assist with Sales and Upselling:

- Suggest menu items, daily specials, and beverages to guests, contributing to increased sales.
- Promote house specialties and desserts to enhance the overall dining experience.

Table Maintenance:

- Continuously monitor table cleanliness, ensuring tables are promptly cleared and reset for new guests.
- Coordinate with the waitstaff to maintain a neat and organized dining area.

Assist with Restaurant Closing:

- Participate in the cleaning and restocking of service stations and work areas at the end of the shift.
- Support the waitstaff and management in closing duties and preparation for the next day's service.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Server Assistant, Busser, or Assistant Waiter in a restaurant or hospitality setting is beneficial but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle various tasks efficiently.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the restaurant industry.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift and carry trays and dining items.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the restaurant's operating hours.

**Salary**: From QAR1,600.00 per month
