FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEER

Qualification: - BTECH/B.E MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
- Conducted cost-benefit analyses for the proposed installation of fire protection systems at large industrial facilities.
- Developed design and bidding specification for fire protection projects.
- Completed acceptance testing and approval of industrial fire protection project installations for large industrial facilities in order to save on insurance costs with a favorable amortization of project funding.
- Engaged professional engineering consulting services to acquire new business revenue for the firm

**5. **Prepare and write reports detailing specific fire prevention and protection issues such as work performed and proposed review schedules.

**6. **Advise architects, builders, and other construction personnel on fire prevention equipment and techniques, and on fire code and standard interpretation and compliance.

**7. **Conduct research on fire retardants and the fire safety of materials and devices.

**8. **Consult with authorities to discuss safety regulations and to recommend changes as necessary.

**9. **Design fire detection equipment, alarm systems, and fire extinguishing devices and system.

**10. **Determine causes of fires, and ways in which they could have been prevented

**11. **Inspect buildings or building designs to determine fire protection system requirements and potential problems in areas such as water supplies, exit locations, and construction materials

**12. **Developing fire prevention techniques such as overhauling building codes or developing fire safety regulations
- Reviewing plans to determine feasibility of fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems and alarms
- Inspecting facilities to determine fire hazards and recommending solutions to eliminate hazards
- Reviewing building plans to ensure compliance with fire safety codes
- Recommending updates to current fire protection systems as needed, such as additional smoke detectors
- Performing investigations after fires to determine their cause and origin
- Working with insurance companies to investigate claims and settle disputes regarding fire damage claims
- Conducting research on fire protection methods, materials, and technologies
- Aiding the fire department and fire fighters in recognizing the defects in the buildings and other construction sites that can lead to fire accidents in the future
- Investigating the buildings and other structures for defects that can lead to fire accidents
- Assisting the fire fighters in preventing, dousing and reducing any dangers related to fires
- Organizing and documenting reports that contain matters on the particularities of fire safety and prevention
- Documenting reports on the executed operations of the workers and planned reappraisal programs of the same
- Holding various investigations on fire agents, fire protection equipment and other implements
- Analyzing the abstraction between the origin of fires and materials to ascertain the reasons behind fires
- Participating in workplaces, meetings, or group meetings in order to give or receive data with regard to fire safety and fire prevention
