Estimation Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Female Estimation Engineer**to join a progressive construction and automation firm in Qatar. The role involves developing precise cost estimates, evaluating technical specifications, and supporting the design and implementation of control systems across commercial, industrial, and residential projects. This position is key to ensuring technical accuracy, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of proposals.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Cost Estimation**
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for control system projects, including hardware, software, installation, and integration.
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to ensure realistic project proposals.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed bills of materials (BOMs).

**Technical Analysis & Support**
- Review project drawings, specifications, and documentation to understand project scope.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, project managers, and clients to verify technical requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on BMS configurations, including HVAC, lighting automation, security, and energy management systems.

**Proposal & Bid Management**
- Draft proposals, quotations, and tender documents for automation and control projects.
- Verify that all control system components are correctly specified and included.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support responses to RFPs and RFQs.

**Planning & Coordination**
- Estimate project timelines and support scheduling efforts.
- Work with project managers to ensure alignment with budgets and deadlines.
- Identify potential project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

**Vendor & Supplier Management**
- Source quotations from vendors and suppliers for project materials and services.
- Evaluate proposals for compliance with technical and financial requirements.

**Budget Oversight**
- Monitor expenditures to maintain adherence to approved budgets.
- Recommend value engineering solutions without compromising quality.

**Documentation & Reporting**
- Maintain accurate records of cost breakdowns, design documents, and estimation files.
- Ensure all proposals and estimation documentation are properly archived.

**Client Engagement**
- Consult with clients to gather requirements and propose suitable BMS solutions.
- Present estimates and proposals clearly, explaining technical and financial details.
- Support client satisfaction throughout the pre-sales and estimation process.

**Regulatory & Technical Standards**
- Ensure all solutions comply with relevant industry standards and local regulations.
- Keep updated with emerging technologies in BMS and control systems.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project estimation or engineering within control systems.
- Strong understanding of controllers, sensors, HVAC, lighting control, and integrated BMS solutions.
- Experience with SCADA, energy management systems, and control panel design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant estimation/design software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Must be based in Qatar with a valid QID and ready to join immediately.
