OPERATED OFFSHORE OIL FIELD DEVELOPMENT

**Primary purpose of job**
As a member of interdisciplinary reservoir study team consist of petrophysicists, geophysicists, geologists, geo-modelers,

and reservoir engineers: steward planning, acquisition, analysis, interpretation and storage of petrophysical and formation

evaluation data for well and reservoir studies in order to generate and optimize field development plans and provide

petrophysical support for MM and ALR fields, as well as other offshore assets (e.g., BH). Participate in reservoir

management activities.

Principal Accountabilities

Build and maintain petrophysical database including raw, edited, and interpreted data.

Plan open-hole and cased-hole petrophysical data acquisition for both wireline and logging while drilling (LWD) including

pressure testing and fluids sampling. When necessary, supervise petrophysical data acquisition.

Perform QA & QC, data processing, data analysis, log interpretation and formation evaluation. Issue post-drill / work-over

petrophysical reports including composite logs and summation.

Review and suggest future wells petrophysical data acquisition and location.

Plan and follow-up laboratory core analysis for petrophysical parameters definition.

Perform reservoir characterization study integrating electric log, mud log, core data (CCA and SCAL) and production data.

Build petrophysical model which include both rock and fluids: carry out fluid contacts evaluation, fluid type

characterization.

Produce reservoir rock typing scheme / flow units, integrating facies, petrophysical groups, and capillarity. Produce

permeability estimation at non cored wells by bivariate transform or by log data calculation / inversion methods. Produce

saturation estimation formula / functions.

Supervise outsourced petrophysical studies including tender and technical evaluation.

Involve in reservoir management activities and surveillance including fluid saturation evolution.

Produce uncertainty analysis on petrophysical parameters and interpretation results.

Deliver petrophysical data/results/summary/reports to geoscience / reservoir study team in order to generate and optimize

field development plans.

Perform planning, coaching, and mentoring of Qatari national and less experienced staffs.

Open to new technology and workflow in petrophysical domain.

Initiate and participate in technical peer reviews.

Must have strong teamwork skills and experience working in a multicultural and multidiscipline environment. Must be able to

communicate effectively with peers, less experienced staff, field staff, and management.

**Experience & Skills**
Required:
Minimum 15 years of experience as petrophysicist. Expert in petrophysical interpretation and modelling, familiar with

advanced logging technology.
