**Role: SMOC Operations Engineer**

**Location: Qatar**

**Contract Duration: 6 Months**

**Experience and Qualifications Required**:

- B.E./B.Tech. (Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage) - 5 + Years of experience
- Oracle Utilities Platform, MDM, HES, and Utility Billing Systems.
- Operation, Maintenance and Support of Smart Metering Operations Centre (SMOC), Preparation and maintenance of SMOC Roasters, Leave Plans and project Schedules.
- Utility functional knowledge on the technical, commercial, techno-commercial and business aspects.
- Preparation and implementation of the Loss Reduction Action Plan for the purpose of energy and revenue savings.
- Develop technical road map for business process re-design for metering-billing-collection (MBC), technical and process interventions for revenue protection and AT&C loss reduction, smart metering, management information systems. Redesigning and re-engineering TO-BE processes based on AS-IS processes
- Support design team to prepare BI dashboards/analytics/reports as per clients’ needs.
- Conducting meetings with the client management and business process owners and giving presentations on SMOC reports/dashboards/analytics considering different data-parameters whenever required.
- Capacity building, training and knowledge sharing sessions among the teams to make the teams globally competitive ones in the utility domains.

**Must-Have Skills**:

- In depth skills in data analytics.
- Particularly good understanding, functional and operational knowledge of the electricity distribution system, power systems, smart metering system, meter reading, disconnection-reconnection, utility billing systems and commercials.
- Automatic Metering Infrastructure (AMI).

**Nice-to-Have Skills**:

- Knowledge and understanding of FRS, SRS, HLD, LLD and RFP Documents.
- To be from the power/energy/utility background and having sufficient related work exposure.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: QAR12,000.00 - QAR13,500.00 per month
