Inspection Engineer

Cyberhawk has an exciting opportunity for an experienced inspection engineer with solid experience in offshore oil and gas inspections to join our Qatar team.

We use drones and our iHawk software to keep people out of danger and reduce the carbon footprint of our energy and large capital project clients. In short, we do cool stuff, we are really good at it, and we’d like you to join us and make us even better

**About our inspection engineer role**:
You will be working from our Qatar office, which has a growing interdisciplinary team of great people and a nice atmosphere. This opportunity is central to the services that we offer to our clients and our clients really appreciate the work that we do.

You will be working closely with our Inspection Manager to help deliver of all aspects of our inspection work with our clients across the oil, gas, marine and engineering sectors.

The role will include:

- Preparation and co-ordination of field work
- Data management
- Delivery of completed work-scopes
- Completing inspection reports using Microsoft PowerPoint and Cyberhawk’s cloud-based, visual asset management solution, iHawk
- Editing photographs and video footage
- Assessing images or video footage for structural defects, damage or hazards
- Writing technical reports in accordance with client guidelines of Anomaly Acceptance Criteria or equivalent
- Working as a field engineer operating a payload control system
- Working effectively with our team of skilled drone pilots
- Delivering presentations of inspection results when required
- Having risk awareness and understanding the significance of safety-critical management systems

**Knowledge and Skills Required**:
Essential:

- You will need an Engineering Degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering or Similar relevant discipline with 10 years’ experience OR Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering discipline with 15 years’ experience.
- NDT Level II certification.
- ASME Level 1 Plant Inspector certification.
- 10 or 15 years’ experience (depending on education as stated above) in Offshore/Plant inspection.
- Experience of fired equipment, heaters, boilers and flares.
- Demonstrated knowledge of corrosion mechanisms and other conditions causing deterioration or failures.
- Must be willing to live and work in Qatar and potentially travel worldwide and work away from home.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Full and clean driving license.

Desirable:

- OPITO Basic Offshore Safety training.
- OPITO or equivalent H2S training.
- Knowledge in basic photo editing and photography: f-stop, ISO, shutter speed etc.
- Whilst training will be given in the role, experience and knowledge of drones would be beneficial.
