As a Sports Insights Analyst, you will maintain, leverage, design, and optimize the available data management systems in the Sports Department for production of insights, intelligence prediction reports and information relating to the student-athlete, and other relevant performance-related projects. Work closely with higher management, sports coaches, performance staff, operations, and administrators to develop and deploy intelligence and insight systems across Aspires’ operations. This role involves a unique combination of project management, data management, statistical modelling, design and customization, and end-user training in a wide range of sports and business data areas.

**You are**able to ensure provision of a specialized applied sport performance analysis services to assigned Aspire coaches, athletes and related sport performance and Medicine professionals. This role involves working alongside coaches, athletes, and other sports science staff to provide advice, training, and support in using performance analysis, data, and biomechanics systems tailored to individual needs and learning modalities.

**What will you do - Main responsibilities**:

- Maintain, leverage, design, and optimize the available data management systems for insights, intelligence prediction reports and information relating to the student-athlete, and other relevant performance-related projects
- Help maintain the Smartabase database system and other relevant reporting systems/databases. Ensure compliance with license agreements, contractual agreements.
- Deliver regular end user workshops to staff members and key stakeholders on system upgrades, demonstrations and further education opportunities.
- Design and optimization of new business intelligence and insight reports Deliver Education & Training - Provide training, workshops, and lectures to educate coaches, athletes, and staff.
- Ensure processes and systems are in place and are complied with to gather and maintain up-to-date accurate data from key stakeholders
- Assist in the design, development and implementation of specific projects to improve the management of data, and intelligence and prediction reports.
- Provide regular insights and intelligence feedback reports to a range of Aspire staff.
- Provide, design and maintain a structured reporting framework that correspondence with multi-level Service Team delivery and Performance based outcomes of programs, athletes and services

**Qualifications and requirements**:

- 4-6 years of related experience of which a minimum of 3 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry.
- Bachelor’s degree or Masters Degree in Sports Data Analytics / Data Science
- Previous experience in **sports analytics, performance analysis, or applied data science**within high-performance sport or related industries.
- Demonstrated ability in **project management**(design, development, and implementation of analytics-related projects).
- Experience conducting **workshops, end-user training, and stakeholder presentations**.
- Familiarity with **sports operations and athlete performance programs**.
- Strong **analytical and problem-solving skills**with the ability to provide actionable insights.
- Excellent **communication and presentation skills**for working with coaches, performance staff, and senior management.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in handling large datasets.
- Ability to **work collaboratively**across multidisciplinary teams.
- Capacity to **think strategically**and support long-term planning.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of **data management systems**(e.g., Smartabase, SQL databases, or similar).
- Proficiency in **statistical modelling**and quantitative analysis.
- Experience with **business intelligence and data visualization tools**(e.g., Power BI, Tableau, R Shiny, or similar).
- Strong skills in **Excel, R, Python, or MATLAB**for data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of **sports performance metrics**and athlete monitoring systems.
- Ability to **design, optimize, and maintain structured reporting frameworks**.
