Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a research assistant to help analyze the Urban and Bedouin Qatari dialectal data we collected during The Qatar Linguistic Map (QLM) Project.
We are seeking to hire part-time research assistants to participate in the project.
**Responsibilities**:
1- Will be to employ advanced analytical techniques and methodologies to derive meaningful insights from the collected data.
2- Will also assist in the interpretation of the results, providing clear and concise summaries of the findings for reports, presentations, and academic publications.
3- Will collaborate with the project team to draw meaningful conclusions and develop actionable recommendations based on the analysis outcomes.
4- In addition to their analytical responsibilities, the research assistant may also be involved in conducting literature reviews, staying updated with the latest research and advancements in the field.
5- They may have the opportunity to contribute to the writing of research papers, abstracts, thus enhancing their own academic and professional growth.
Qualifications Required.
- Must be a native speaker of the Qatari dialect.
- Linguistic skills should include awareness of grammar, syntax, and morphology of Arabic.
- Previous relevant professional experience is a plus.
- Comfortable with using computers.
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks effectively according to the project requirements.
- Research and work on Arabic and dialectology is a major plus.
- You muse be residing in Qatar.
