**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 15 years of experience in EPC oil and gas projects.
- Proficient in preparing cost forecast reports and cash flow reports for EPC projects.
- Demonstrated ability to implement cost control measures and productivity initiatives during the construction phase.
- Experience in preparing Extension of Time (EOT) cost and claims.
- Familiarity with finalizing subcontract agreements and valuation of variations or change orders.
- Ability to verify subcontractor’s interim and final payments.
- Skilled in budget preparation and performing cost control activities.
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.

**Responsibilities**:
The Senior Cost Control Engineer - Mechanical will play a critical role in overseeing cost management activities within EPC oil and gas projects. Reporting to project management, the engineer will be responsible for ensuring accurate cost forecasting, implementing cost control measures, and supporting contract administration activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare comprehensive cost forecast reports and cash flow reports for EPC projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and financial objectives.
- Implement cost control measures and productivity initiatives to optimize project costs and enhance overall project efficiency.
- Prepare Extension of Time (EOT) cost and claims, assisting in negotiations and resolution of contractual disputes as required.
- Assist in finalizing subcontract agreements, ensuring compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.
- Facilitate the preparation and valuation of variations or change orders, liaising with project stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and approval.
- Verify subcontractor’s interim and final payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Prepare budgets and perform ongoing cost control activities, monitoring project expenditures and analyzing cost variances.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate financial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize SAP and other relevant software tools to streamline cost management processes and enhance reporting capabilities.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in EPC oil and gas projects, with a focus on cost control and contract administration.
- Proven track record of preparing cost forecast reports, cash flow reports, and EOT cost and claims.
- Strong knowledge of cost control methodologies and best practices within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in SAP is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify key cost drivers.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: QAR18,000.00 - QAR24,000.00 per month
