**Primary purpose of job**
Provide legal support to QatarEnergy’s HQ-based subsidiaries conducting trading and
marketing activities (including QatarEnergy Trading, QatarEnergy LNG Marketing and

QatarEnergy Marketing and Trading) related to the trading of financial and commodity

contracts (including natural gas and LNG) whether traded on exchanges or via the OTC

market (“Financial Trading”) as well as the trading of natural gas in downstream gas
markets (“Gas Trading”) and the securing and management of regasification, pipeline and
storage capacity required for accessing the same (“Gas Market Access”). The combined
activities related to Financial Trading, Gas Trading and Gas Market Access are together

termed “Financial & Gas Trading Activities”.

**Experience & Skills**
- At least ten years’ experience in private practice or in-house, a substantial amount of

which is in relation to Financial & Gas Trading Activities.
- Strong legal (including drafting) skills.
- Experience of dealing with regulators and government representatives.
- Ability to assimilate complex legal matters and to provide practical advice to nonlawyers.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English. Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player. Highly motivated,

proactive, organized, and self-disciplined.

**Education**
JD/LLB (or equivalent) degree at a recognized university.
