**Job Title**: Planning Engineer

**Department**: Project Control / Engineering
**Reports To**: Project Manager / Planning Manager

**Job Purpose**:
To develop, monitor, and update project schedules, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget. The Planning Engineer will coordinate with all project stakeholders to track progress, mitigate delays, and report status to management.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Prepare project baseline schedules and update regularly to reflect project progress.
- Monitor project milestones, critical paths, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align planning activities.
- Conduct delay analysis and recommend recovery plans to mitigate schedule slippage.
- Provide weekly and monthly progress reports to management and clients.
- Prepare S-curve charts, manpower histograms, and productivity analysis.
- Evaluate subcontractor schedules and integrate into the master schedule.
- Participate in project meetings and provide planning input for decision-making.
- Ensure planning compliance with project contracts and scope.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling (GCC experience preferred).
- Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel.
- Solid understanding of project management principles and construction methods.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
