Job Description:
**Job Title**: Service Technician
**Reports to**: Service Manager / Technical Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

- **Installation and Setup**:

- Install, test, and set up equipment, machinery, or systems according to manufacturer specifications and client needs.
- Ensure that installations are completed safely and meet industry standards.
- Provide training and support to clients on how to use and maintain newly installed equipment.
- **Maintenance**:

- Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Inspect systems regularly to identify potential issues before they cause significant problems.
- Replace or repair worn-out components, such as bearings, filters, and wiring.
- Lubricate parts and tighten bolts or screws as necessary.
- **Troubleshooting and Repair**:

- Diagnose malfunctions, electrical issues, and mechanical failures using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts, wiring, motors, or other malfunctioning equipment.
- Calibrate and fine-tune equipment to ensure proper functionality and accuracy.
- Test systems after repairs to ensure they are working correctly.
- **Customer Service**:

- Respond to service calls and perform on-site troubleshooting for clients.
- Communicate clearly with customers about the nature of the issue, repair solutions, and timeframes.
- Provide recommendations for ongoing maintenance or necessary upgrades to prevent future issues.
- Offer exceptional customer service to build positive client relationships.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed records of services performed, repairs made, and parts used.
- Prepare service reports, including recommendations for future maintenance or repairs.
- Report unresolved issues or critical repairs to supervisors or manufacturers for further assistance.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Follow industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and safety protocols during installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to OSHA regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations when handling hazardous materials or electrical systems.
- **Technical Support**:

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and colleagues.
- Assist customers with software updates, firmware installations, or system recalibrations.
- Offer remote support for minor issues that do not require on-site repairs.
- **Equipment and Tool Maintenance**:

- Maintain and care for service tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Calibrate diagnostic tools and testing equipment as necessary to maintain accuracy.
- Report any malfunctions or need for replacements to the supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, automotive) is preferred.
- **Experience**: Proven experience as a service technician in a relevant industry.
- **Certification**: Depending on the industry, specific certifications may be required (e.g., HVAC certification, ASE certification for automotive technicians, or manufacturer-specific certifications).
- **Skills**:

- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and software.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Physical Demands:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy tools, equipment, or parts.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, or outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and crouch for extended periods while performing repairs or installations.

Work Environment:

- On-site at customer locations, including residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Workshops or service centers where equipment is repaired and maintained.
- Exposure to loud noises, machinery, chemicals, and potentially hazardous materials, requiring the use of PPE.

The Service Technician plays a vital role in ensuring that equipment and systems function effectively and safely. They must have strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers while providing high-quality service.

Pay: QAR1,800.00 - QAR2,500.00 per month
