**Job overview**:

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the identification of needs of assigned students through formal and informal assessments
- Review referral data, history and assessment data to help develop appropriate goals and objectives for each student
- Collect and analyze data, such as WIDA and MAP, to ensure a successful progression of English language acquisition
- Confer with teachers regarding the educational, social, emotional and physical needs and objectives of each student
- Assist in the planning, development and implementation of individualized learning plans
- Prepare instructional materials and lesson plans according to Individual Educational Plans (IEPs)
- Assist in the development and implementation of necessary interventions and strategies to promote student achievementPrepare EAL students for inclusion and transition to mainstream

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Specialisation in Special Education and EAL, or a related field.
- Teaching Qualification
- PGCE/BEd or equivalent preferred
- Experience teaching in an international school preferred (IB, AP, PYP and/or MYP)
- Experience in applied behavioral and academic interventions to support high-quality instruction for all students
- Understanding of current evaluation methods and tools for various levels of assessment; including adaptive and curriculum-based measurement
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written, demonstrating excellent levels of communication
