**Qualifications**:

- Secondary school certificate
- 5 years experience in marine field
- Heavy industry experience in scaffolding works and heavy equipment erections
- Shipyard experience preferred
- Experience certificate from heavy engineering organizations

**Task Description**:

- To perform and coordinate scaffolding activities in the shipyard in a very safe and professional manner as per quality standards, and act as per the direct instruction of Supervisor - Rigging & Scaffolding.
- Coordinate scaffolding operations under the Foreman’s supervision
- Oversee a team of scaffolders by coordinating day to day quality works, allocating labour, ensuring efficiency and conservation of material, accurate reporting of work carried out and correct charging of time to job numbers
- Coordinate activities that relate to the operations of mobile cranes, forklifts and lifting equipment, tools and tackles, sling, etc.
- Assist the Foreman in the calibration of all equipment in Scaffolding Section
- Assist the Foreman in certification of lifting gears and labelling of test status
- Assist the Foreman in preparing scaffolding, lifting and survey equipment for testing
- Requisition of equipment and materials for the Department
- Maintaining quality records
- Follow specified systems, processes and procedures, implemented in the workplace, to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and other requirements/standards
- Work safely at all times, protecting the health and safety of everyone in the workplace
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
