**Objectives**:
Repairing, fabricating, and maintaining the equipment and structures used in the recycling process. Welders contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the facility by using their welding skills to join, cut, and repair metal components.

**Responsibilities**:
**Technical responsibilities**:
Repairing and fabricating metal components, such as machinery parts, equipment frames, conveyors, and containers used for storing scrap materials.

(1)Use different welding techniques, such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and stick welding, depending on the type of metal and the specific requirements of the project.

(2)Need to interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and repair work.

(3)Collaborate with other team members, such as maintenance technicians, engineers, and supervisors, to discuss repair needs, project specifications, and timelines.

(4)Responsible for ensuring the quality of their welding work.

**General responsibilites**

Performing routine maintenance on machinery and equipment. This can include inspecting equipment for signs of wear, corrosion, or damage and performing welding repairs to extend the equipment''s lifespan.

(1)Ensuring the structural integrity of equipment and structures is crucial for safety and operational efficiency.

(2)Welders must follow strict safety protocols while working. This includes wearing

appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), setting up welding areas in compliance with safety guidelines, and adhering to safe welding practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

(3)Welders might be trained to operate other tools and machinery used in the metal recycling process, such as cutting torches, grinders, and metal shears.

(4)Welders need to be aware of environmental regulations and ensure that their work does not cause pollution or harm to the environment.
