**JOB OVERVIEW**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Senior IT Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation, and providing technical support to internal users. Your role will involve a combination of hands-on technical work, team leadership, and strategic IT planning**.**

**KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS**:

- Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and telecommunications systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Monitor server performance, ensure uptime, and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, or network.
- Ensure server backups and disaster recovery processes are in place and regularly tested.
- Manage and maintain the organization’s local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Manage access controls, ensuring proper security protocols are followed for data protection.
- Oversee storage infrastructure, ensuring adequate space and performance for data processing.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to safeguard critical data.
- Provide technical support for server-related issues, responding to alerts and incidents in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot system failures, resolving issues quickly to minimize downtime.
- Document all configurations, changes, and procedures for reference and troubleshooting.
- Lead a team of IT technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high levels of technical expertise and customer service.
- Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure security and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Plan and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, installations, and migrations.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide solutions that support business objectives.
- Monitor system performance and implement corrective actions to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that all server infrastructure complies with organizational policies, regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of server configurations, procedures, and policies.

**EDUCATION BACKGROUND & SKILLS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Up to 5 years of experience as a senior-level IT technician or similar role, with a strong background in IT infrastructure management and technical support.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Red Hat Certified System Administrator, CompTIA Server+).
- Solid knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 environments; familiarity with macOS and Linux is a plus.
- Proficiency with operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS).
- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP,AD) and experience with network troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar are advantageous.

Pay: QAR1.00 - QAR7.00 per month
