**Job Summary**:
The **Team Leader - Fresh Food** oversees multiple fresh food departments, including deli, bakery, roastery, fish, butchery, and fruits & vegetables. This position is responsible for ensuring that each section operates efficiently, maintains high standards of quality and safety, and provides exceptional customer service. The Team Leader is also tasked with leading a team of associates, driving sales growth, and ensuring proper product management across all fresh food areas.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Team Leadership & Development**:

- Lead, manage, and inspire a team of associates across various fresh food sections (deli, bakery, roastery, fish, butchery, fruits, and vegetables).
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members, focusing on food safety, customer service, and product knowledge.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure a high-performing team.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage across all departments.
- **Operational Excellence**:

- Oversee day-to-day operations for all fresh food sections, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and best practices in each area.
- Ensure proper inventory management, including stock rotation, waste reduction, and replenishment for each department.
- Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure the freshness of products.
- Monitor the quality of products, ensuring they meet company standards and are presented in an appealing manner.
- **Customer Service**:

- Promote a culture of excellent customer service by ensuring staff engage positively with customers, offering product recommendations, and addressing inquiries.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure that all fresh food sections provide a pleasant shopping experience, including cleanliness, proper signage, and organized displays.
- **Quality Control & Compliance**:

- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all departments (e.g., temperature control, cleaning schedules, and equipment maintenance).
- Regularly conduct inspections to guarantee product freshness and quality, particularly for perishable items like fish, meat, fruits, and vegetables.
- Maintain accurate labeling for all fresh food products, including allergen information and expiration dates.
- **Sales & Merchandising**:

- Work closely with merchandising teams to ensure attractive and effective product displays in each fresh food section.
- Implement and manage promotions and special offers to drive sales, ensuring proper execution in each area.
- Analyze sales performance across departments to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas needing improvement.
- Introduce seasonal or specialty products to increase customer interest and enhance the shopping experience.
- **Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with the marketing and store management teams to plan and execute campaigns that promote fresh food offerings.
- Work with other department leaders to ensure a cohesive customer experience across all store sections.
- Partner with suppliers to introduce new products and maintain quality standards.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in fresh food management (preferably in deli, bakery, butchery, or related areas).
- **Knowledge**: Strong understanding of food safety, handling, and hygiene standards, especially in fresh produce and perishable goods.
- **Leadership Skills**: Proven experience in managing a diverse team, with a focus on training, performance management, and team motivation.
- **Customer Service**: Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- **Sales Acumen**: Ability to drive sales and profitability through merchandising, promotions, and inventory control.
- **Communication**: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage teams and interact with customers.
- **Technical Skills**: Familiarity with inventory management software and basic proficiency in MS Office.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in multiple fresh food departments is highly advantageous.
