**Job Summary**:
The Accountant Assistant will support the finance department by performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. The role involves assisting in daily financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and transactions, and supporting the senior accountant with month-end closing and reporting. This role is critical to ensure the company's financial processes run smoothly and are in compliance with internal and external standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in recording day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy in data entry into accounting systems.
- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and tracking payments.
- Conduct bank reconciliations, and monitor bank statements for discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Help with the preparation of VAT filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist with payroll processing, maintaining employee expense records and reimbursements.
- Track company petty cash usage and ensure proper documentation and reconciliation.
- Support the external audit process by providing required documentation and reports.
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, and other departments to resolve any billing or financial queries.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all financial data.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance support role.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations in Qatar.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Familiarity with real estate transactions, commissions, and lease/sale contracts.
- Experience working in Qatari-based companies or understanding of local financial practices.
- Knowledge of Qatar VAT processes and documentation.
