Primary purpose of job

Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the strategic on-going planning, design, and enhancement of

QATARENERGY’s infrastructure services like Identity, Messaging in on-prem and Office 365 / Azure environment. The

focus will be on providing robust, highly available & responsive, secure, and scalable environment while minimizing Total

Cost of Ownership (TCO) and maximizing Return on Investment (ROI) by deploying state of the art technologies, best

practices, policies, processes, and procedures.

Experience & Skills
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in a directly related field, including at least 5 years of technical experience in

Identity and Access Management and messaging services.
- Strong architectural skills and expertise within the data center infrastructure environment including capacity planning,

performance analysis, and systems management integration.
- Strong experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
- Strong experience with cloud-native architectures, Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint

Online, OneDrive and Microsoft Defender.
- Strong experience with Azure AD Identity protection, password protection, conditional access, PIM, Azure MFA, Intune

MDM, SSO, SAML, ADFS.
- Extensive knowledge on in messaging services such as Exchange on-prem and Exchange online with hands-on

experience on Transport rules, Anti-phishing, Anti-spam, Anti-malware, Safe Attachment & Links and DKIM.
- Troubleshooting skills with Active Directory Infrastructure, Azure AD, Group Policies, PowerShell, Windows Server 2012,

2016 and 2019.
- Ability to understand business requirements and then propose IT solutions to meet business objectives.
- Desirable knowledge of industry security practices around file system, identity management, server hardening and

vulnerabilities
- Familiar with networking technologies and security protocols.
- Familiar with data center virtualization specifically VMware
- Working knowledge of cloud networking, security, automation tools
- Basic knowledge of security and control frameworks, such as ISO27001/2, COBIT, and ITIL, as well as regulations such

as Sarbanes Oxley and PCI-DSS.
- Familiar with Project Management and Change Management processes.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or in a related Engineering field or Management Information Systems.
- Relevant Industry leading Certifications.
