Inventory Planning Specialist

In this interesting role, you will manage forecast, procure, and efficiently control stock levels for all catering inventory to ensure that it is available from suppliers in a timely fashion. You will ensure that QR inventory delivers to QR standards and expectations of service is of the agreed specifications and quality. You will lead the development and testing of all new inventory to ensure that it is fit for purpose and does not impact operational or financial performance.

To achieve sucees in this role you will need to:

- Lead the production and maintenance of an accurate global inventory stock forecast.
- Be responsible for the tracking and management of inventory lifecycles and usage vs. forecast to ensure inventory availability is reflective of real inventory performance.
- Ensure correct and timely documentation of inventory requirements and ensure that governance is maintained at all times.
- Manage the purchase of all inventories, ensuring that there are no out of stock situations, whilst delivering inventory requirements at lowest possible unit cost
- Lead the global inventory in Doha and the back-up stocks at suppliers reducing stock holding whilst protecting the operation.
- Manage Inventory warehouse contracts in DOH and elsewhere and ensures robust and timely stock control through the same.
- Organise the introduction of new inventory, including the timely withdrawal and disposal of the obsolete stock with inventory suppliers.
- Review of new stock as it is received to ensure that it is received to the agreed specification, taking corrective action where required.
- Work with suppliers and Logistics teams to reduce logistic costs and find the optimum solution for the transportation and location of inventory.

**Qualifications**:
You should have at least a Bachelors Degree or equivalent with preferrably Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or Memebership of Chartered Management Institute of Logistics & Transport (CMILT) or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years job-related experience. It will be highly beneficial if you have;
- Logistics, Procurement, Supply Planning on a global scale
- 3 Years of experience of managing a team and achieving results through people
- Supplier management
- Stock Control/ ERP Systems - Oracle / SAP/ QOSMOS

In addition, you will have the following job specific skills:

- Excellent PC related skills specifically regarding MS Excel
- Plan and Manage stock of Alcoholic Beverage
- Interpersional and communication skills
- Work under pressure and multi-task
- Proven skills innegotiation, evaluation and decision-making
- Managerial Skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direcrtion and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop suboridnate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
