**Job Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**

- **Design Development**

  • Design of HV,MV & LV power systems ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Design of cable tray, earthing, and lighting system by ensuring statutory and regulatory requirements are met in all designs.
  • Design and knowledge of equipment like Transformers, MVD, MV & LV switchboards, UPS systems etc.
  • Design of extra low voltage systems, such as data networks, voice networks, fire alarms, public address systems, access control systems, IPTV, and intercom.
  • Have good knowledge of essential engineering software including ETAP, Dialux, StrikeRisk, PVsyst etc.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code, IEEE, ANSI, IESNA, NFPA and IEC and various local authority standards like Kahramaa, QCD, and PWA.
  • Develop master plan report, derive demand load calculation, sizing major equipment and circuits and selective protection coordination.
  • Carry out value engineering for various technical options and prepare value engineering reports with recommendations.

- **Collaboration**

  • Work closely with mechanical, software, and production teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to determine project requirements and specifications.

- **Project Management**

  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure completion within budget.

**Qualifications**

  • **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • **Experience**: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in the construction or engineering industry, with exposure to both residential and commercial and substation projects.
  • **Licenses/Certifications**: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • **Software Proficiency**: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, Dialux, StrikeRisk, PVsyst).
  • **Knowledge of Standards**: Strong knowledge of local and international electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, ANSI, Kahramaa, QCD, PWA etc.).
  • **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • **Problem Solving**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- **Certifications**

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must be registered in MMUP.
  • Kahramaa Certified.
