Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (Senior)

Location : Raslaffan

Contract Position
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in the relevant field.
- Experience with electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, instrumentation and automation.
- Min 5 years of working on the same position.
- Responsibilities (not limited to the following)
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, and familiarity with industry best practices.
- Provide technical support for internal teams, subcontractors, clients and vendors during the operation and maintenance activities on the system.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, instrument system, equipment failures and operations issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, procedures and regulations related to electrical systems.
- Familiar with LOTO procedures, PPE and electrical safety standards. (e.g.,NFPA 70 E).
- Support Commissioning Supt/ Supervisor to develop and implement maintenance plans, schedules and procedures for electrical systems and components.
- Coordinate /participate with the maintenance team to execute preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Conduct regular inspections, tests, and checks to assess system condition, performance, and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, and system malfunctions in substations, control rooms and related facilities.
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively for maintenance tasks.
- Conduct RCA and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems and improve system performance.
- Support Commissioning Supt/ Supervisor to manage electrical assets, equipment inventory, spare parts.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors etc.
- Familiar with the SHES requirements and regulations related to facility maintenance and operations.
