Head of Electrical Engineering

**30627 - HEAD OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING**

At **Eni **, we are looking for a **Head of Electrical Engineering **within our Branch in **Qatar **. You will be responsible for overseeing electrical engineering activities during NFW Onshore FEED, ensuring all technical requirements are in full compliance with project requirements and standardised processes, and are delivered to the highest technical quality standards. You will provide clear guidance to the FEED contractor, sub-contractors and vendors and facilitate resolution of electrical technical issues to complete electrical engineering activities such as design, procurement and integration with NFS, to meet project objectives and milestones.

**As a member of the North Field West Onshore Project, you will be responsible for**:

- Ensuring execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with LNG Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and Project Management System.
- Leading electrical engineering design and planning activities and ensuring FEED contractor develops detailed design in accordance with local regulatory requirements, industry standards, project specifications and any approved variations.
- Planning and scheduling electrical engineering deliverable, including design / project philosophies, specifications and procedures to enable efficient execution in meeting project milestones/schedule.
- Reviewing, evaluating and advising on electrical simulations and optimization, in compliance with design methods, safety factors (for Large Electrical Generation and Distribution System, Large motor drivers, VFDs in both Motoring and Generating modes, combined cycle power generation, HV switchgears, Electrical Integrated Control System (ELICS) and Power management System for Generation, Load sharing and Distribution Control).
- Reviewing technical aspects of electrical equipment purchase orders with NFW FEED Contractor and vendors in accordance with the roles and responsibilities stated in applicable contract(s), to ensure safe and seamless integration of new electrical equipment into the NFS EPC project.
- Preparation of procurement as needed, including for Long Lead Items.
- Monitoring and providing guidance to FEED Contractor to ensure key discipline deliverables, progress/milestones are met. Recommending additional technical support where necessary to address gaps.
- Coordinating and analysing discipline issues for resolution. Providing electrical engineering input to other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement etc, as necessary. Supporting commissioning, start-up and system completing activities and making appropriate recommendations to management on electrical matters.
- Lead Electrical interface coordination with NFS onshore, NFS offshore, RLIC, and Kahramaa power supplier, or any third party, as required, during FEED.Contributing to Safety analysis studies such as SAFOP, HAZOP or HAZID and providing the required input to support project management in key decision-making. Participating in sharing lessons learned, together with capturing current lessons learned to benefit future projects.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Extensive experience of Electrical Engineering, preferably in a major LNG Project. Broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore LNG facilities and utility systems design, construction and operations.
- Demonstrated broad electrical equipment and systems experience (HV/MV/LV), electrical systems design, transformers, switchgear, power management systems, electrical system controls for reactive and active power sharing, power distribution control, large Motors, 40MW+) and familiarity with relevant manufacturing processes and relevant industry codes.
- High voltage and large-scale onshore power design requirements.
- Proficient in English language.
- Strong technical and discipline management skills.
- Good organisational, planning and coordination skills.
- Good communication, influencing and interface skills.Proficient in MS Office.
