**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Construction & Installation**:

- Construct, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, staircases, and frames.
- Fit and install wooden components, including trim, baseboards, and molding, as per blueprints or technical drawings.
- Measure and cut wood, plywood, and other materials to the required dimensions.
- Build and install wooden furniture, including shelves, desks, and workstations, based on client or company requirements.
- **Renovation & Repair**:

- Repair or replace worn or damaged wooden structures in residential, commercial, or industrial properties.
- Restore and refurbish old furniture or fittings when necessary.
- Ensure that all repairs are conducted in a safe and timely manner.
- **Blueprint Interpretation**:

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and project requirements.
- Follow detailed instructions and plans from architects or designers.
- **Safety & Compliance**:

- Adhere to safety standards and guidelines while using hand and power tools.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed in compliance with local regulations and construction codes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, handling tools and materials properly.
- **Maintenance**:

- Conduct regular maintenance of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with woodworking tools or materials.
- **Customer Service**:

- Communicate effectively with clients or site managers regarding project progress, issues, or delays.
- Provide recommendations for design or functional improvements when necessary.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a carpenter, with expertise in carpentry techniques and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery associated with carpentry.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and carpentry materials.
- Good physical condition, with the ability to work on feet for long periods and lift heavy materials.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

**Educational Requirements**:

- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
- Formal carpentry training or an apprenticeship may be preferred, with certification or vocational courses being an added advantage.

**Work Environment**:

- Carpentry work may be done at construction sites, factories, workshops, or private homes.
- Work schedules may vary, with long hours and occasional weekend work depending on deadlines.

**Required Personal Attributes**:

- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
