**Job Description Summary**: Lead the Engineering & Field Service team for part of the Gulf
- Iraq cluster for Grid Automation

Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical aspects of GA projects including technical responsibility site commissioning.
- Lead the Engineering & Field Service team for part of the Gulf
- Iraq cluster for Grid Automation
- Responsible for the Design & engineering & test & commissioning (T&S) of CCS & DCS projects, M&D, communication, APM Projects, any other GA related projects
- Man-days (MD) estimation and MD control to be within the estimation of the projects.
- Responsible for the resource planning of the engineering team and Site commissioning team.
- Liaise with other members of a multidisciplinary team to specify, design and test the project, whilst meeting the required technical standards
- Coordinate workplace EHS issues and ensure availability of suitable PPE for T&C personnel, both internal and subcontracted
- Support production through the manufacture of projects
- Manage and secure approval as well as renewal of approvals of T&C engineers from key accounts
- Analyze skill matrix, competency gaps and address people development needs through proper training and development plans
- Support to Operations team to Control projects effectively in terms of budgeted profitability, planning, and general reporting (internal / external). Ensure that agreements with customer for documentation lead times, delivery, reliability and quality are achieved within the budgetary constraints agreed within the Unit.

Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related discipline
- 10 plus years relevant experience
- Good oral / written communication
- Appreciation of cubicle / racks construction
- Ability to read / interpret tender / contract documentation, schematics, procedures and policy guidelines, and write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to define problems, collect relevant data, establish facts and draw valid solutions
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and to meet strict deadlines, whilst working in a team
- Knowledge of competitor products is advantageous
- Have a working knowledge of commercial, contractual conditions, ideally in electrical power system or associate industries
- Experience of managing projects for protection and control systems is a distinct advantage
- Business understanding and knowledge of Grid Automation products and systems

- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
- Good oral / written communication skills in Technical English. Arabic is an added advantage
