**Job description**

**Job Title**:Senior Accountant

**Job Type**: 3 month contract extendable

**Working Hours**: 9hrs per day 8: 30 - 17:30

**Working Days**: 5 days a week

**Salary**: QAR 7 000- 8 000 all-inclusive

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial activities of our organization. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, uphold strong accounting practices, and provide strategic financial insights. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a solid background in accounting principles and practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee and manage the general ledger, including account reconciliation and journal entries.
- Coordinate and execute month-end and year-end close processes.
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing recommendations for improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners to ensure smooth and efficient audits and compliance.
- Assist in the budget preparation and coordination with head office functions (i.e. Treasury, Internal audit, procurement, etc.)

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce ( Accounting and Finance)
- Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in a Senior Accountant Role
- Preferred Software Experience Key Loop, Autline software, Oracle-based software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and report on commercial figures.
- Proven ability to work well in an integrated team environment.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
- Flexible, culturally diverse, and maintains a positive attitude.
