Product Branding Specialist

As a Product Branding Specialist, you will be responsible for transforming design solutions into tangible assets that align with brand strategies and business objectives. Product Branding Specialist will be responsible for making informed decisions, overseeing assigned projects and providing guidance to junior designers. Attention to detail is a crucial factor in managing all stages of design development and production from inception to completion. Product Branding Specialist will be responsible for creating visually captivating design creatives and product designs across different design platforms. This will involve utilising software tools and hand-rendering to develop products that embody the corporate identity and brand image of Qatar Airways.
- Take brief from Senior Branding Specialist with establishing a vision for the product or design in various field of design; Branding development, onboard and lounges soft product development, print and packaging collaterals, industrial and environmental design, creating a visual representation of ideas and concepts representing Qatar Airways’ brand value.
- Maintain awareness of current brand design and trends, influences in the market as well as understanding competitor airlines proposition to benchmark.
- Develop concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustration, company logos and websites, ensuring that the Brand and design fundamentals are preserved, along with being creative.
- Develop bespoke product designs such as chinaware, glassware, linen, blankets and all other deemed as soft products for onboard and lounges
- Work with Equipment Development team to prepare and execute tenders for products being developed into actual tangible product line required
- Under the guidance of the Line Managers, prepare prototypes using specialist computer software’s and CAD: “computer-aided design” technology to illustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, typography size and style, and related aesthetic concepts for multiple design requirements such as soft product range, packaging, to print collaterals Qatar Airways and subsidiaries on special requests.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on design projects and requirements to enable a blend of design ideas that seamlessly flow with the concepts of the lounge / aircraft interiors and inflight, being true to the Qatar Airways’ brand in terms of colours style and projection.
- Liaise with other stakeholder departments and vendors printers, suppliers, and techniques to fit the design best / effective solution and within the set budget.
- Define Project requirements such as project timelines, schedules, type of media and quantity of deliverables pertaining to scheduled assignment.
- Attend meetings with the Management and Design team to understand and assemble initial ideas for the project. Provide suggestions to relevant teams about effective product design solution options
- Preparing and proofreading proposals to the Line Manager and Senior Management to receive approvals and feedback on the amendments to be made before finalising art work to be printed.
- Coordinate work flow with the design team and equipment development team members in order to assist in the initiation of design elements for relevant areas.
- Provide progress reports on all projects and deliver samples to be used for reviews and proposals to the Management.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Product Development and Design Team.
- Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential.
- 4+ years of job related experience
- Previous experience working as a senior designer or equivalent in a design company.
- Worked and developed branding identity based on their work with other design companies and agencies.
- Have extensive knowledge with production specification and process.
- Proficient in final artwork development.
- Work experience in other field of design such as product development, environmental graphics, interior design, etc
- High proficiency in Graphic Design software i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
- Must be pro-active and have very good attention to detail.
- Have very good written and verbal communication skills.
- Well versed with Microsoft Office software.
