**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Electrical Foreman/Electrical Supervisor**

**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB**
- To supervise and control the installation, maintenance both preventive & corrective, and testing / commissioning of a wide range of Low voltage, Medium voltage & High Voltage Electrical equipments in a safe manner, in accordance with client procedures and accepted technical standards. The equipment includes, but not limited to HV & LV Switchgear Panel, Transformers, Earthing System, MCCs, PCCs, HT & LT Motors, various types of Motor starter panels (VFD, Soft Starters, Star - Delta & DOL) of various equipment's, Emergency DG set, Alternator, UPS, Lighting Control System, Central Battery System, Building internal / external lighting & Street Lighting, Solar PV system, etc.
- To remain up to date in the field of Electrical maintenance
- To provide work directions to his subordinates and ensure that all activity conforms to client policies and procedures.
- To carry out troubleshooting, investigation, RCA for major / repeated breakdown, any incident.
- To carry out risk assessment and Environment Aspect impact of all routine /non
- routine activities and implement control measure to ensure safe working environment.
- To follow and to ensure that team follows safe work practices always during any activity at site.
- To ensure to utilize the available resources manpower, materials & logístical resources in optimize way.

**KEY RESULT AREAS - PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Supervises all activities of assigned personnel at the client. Performs supervisory functions at the level established by the management for the position.
- Receives and reviews incoming work requests for repairs to Electrical and other related equipments.
- Processes the work requests after filling in the required materials, man hours, and skill levels. Allocates work to subordinates and contractors, checks progress providing instructions and advice as necessary and ensures that all the completed work conforms to established work standards and statutory requirements.
- Prepares daily plan for entire team and arranges all resources - material / logistics in advance for routine maintenance activities.
- Participates personally for any breakdown / critical issues to fix in reasonable time frame.
- Plans / coordinate with other disciplines for any site maintenance activity.
- Assist in coordination with vendors, contractors as per the maintenance requirement.
- Reviews drawings, evaluates systems, assist in drafting scope of work for Plant changes, snags completed projects and generates all relevant work reports.
- Participates in, and personally carries out the installation's repairs, maintenance & testing of a wide range of HV & LV Switchgear Panel, Earthing System, MCCs, PCCs, HT & LT Motors, various types of Motor starter panels ( VFD, Soft Starters, Star - Delta & DOL) of various equipment's, Emergency DG set, Alternator, UPS, Lighting Control System, Central Battery System, Building internal / external lighting & Street Lighting, Solar PV system, etc.
- Supervise to carry out various types of tests on electrical equipment's - like Insulation Resistance test, Polarization Index, Thermography, contact resistance measurement, Winding impedance test, Breaker Function test, Protection Relay testing using primary & secondary injection tests, Live cable scanning, cable fault / route locator, etc.
- Supervise or carries out various types of diagnostic tests / Condition monitoring tests related to electrical equipment's - like Polarization Index, Tan-Delta Tests, Thermography, Vibration Analysis, and Power Analyzer etc.
- Supervise or carry out installation / commissioning / testing activities for electrical equipment's which includes -HV & LT Motors & Electrical panel, Transformer, Cable tray, HV & LV cabling, glanding work etc.
- Supervise or carry out installations & checks on earth pit installations & earthing routes in client premises.
- Provides technical advice to his subordinates and ensures the proper use of tools and test equipment. Carries out function tests on the repairs carried out prior to reinstating the systems.
- Plans & carry out the routine and preventive maintenance.
- Plans & carry out commissioning activity related to new equipment installations / projects. - Inspects the work of staff, carrying out related on-site work, resolves problems during work, trains subordinates in safe practices and guidelines.
- Maintains records and files of work performed, in progress, and work completed. Completes and processes paperwork related to his section such as time sheets, material costs, repairs and activity reports.
- Assists in the preparation of annual lists of spare parts, consumable materials and special tools or test equipment. Reviews consumption discusses interchangeability with his supervisor, initiates purchase requisitions for new materials, assists in the receipt of the new material and spare parts through on-site inspection of d
